We at Audrey Magazine are fortunate enough to know and be informed of many inspirational females around the world. In honor of Women’s History Month, we decided to share this knowledge with you in order to inspire others to greatness.
To begin, we start with the most powerful Asian American woman in the business world, Indra Nooyi, the current Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of Pepsi Co. (Forbes.com)
An alumn of Yale University, where she received her masters in Public and Private Management, she was said to have worked the graveyard shift to pay for her schooling. She has been part of the executive board at Pepsi since 1994, when she accepted the position of Vice President of Strategic Planning and officially took on the dual role of CEO and Chairman in 2006 and 2007 respectively. Under her leadership, the company’s annual revenue has risen 72%, while its net profit more than doubled by 2006. Proving that hard work and perseverance pays off in the long run helping her be our first fierce fem feature.
