We know the whole universe has a crush on The Office‘s super-talented executive-producer/star, Mindy Kaling but we’re going to make a list of reasons we love her anyway!
1. She is totes the girl-next-door.
Mindy likes shopping at Target, eating junk food, and sleeping in until 2pm. She has everyday girl struggles and despite being a super-famous TV star and Emmy-award winning writer, homegirl keeps it real.
2. She is totes Asian.
Born to an Indian mother who’s an OB/GYN and an architecture dad, Mindy looks like no other girl in Hollywood (except for Parminder Nagra ’cause you know, apparently “all Asians look alike”)
3. She blogs about things she loves here.
From yogurt to Steve Jobs, leopard-printed skirts to glitter nail polish, Mindy thoughtfully shares with us products that work for her (and possibly for us too!) on her blog, The Concerns of Mindy Kaling.
4. She has, like, a billion Twitter followers.
Okay, so it’s 1.5+ million but still. Girl is popular. All the more reason to love her.
5. She has a new book coming out.
