When it comes to my wedding (which will probably be many years later), I would say I’m pretty traditional and would most likely stick to wearing a white wedding dress on that very special day. When I see any gowns of different color I just don’t think wedding – let alone black. Vera Wang, one of the biggest names in the wedding world, pushes the boundaries of wedding dresses and presents seven black gowns. It’s refreshing and they make a statement but personally, black’s just not for me. Perhaps it would be for you?
This entire look just reads dark and mysterious to me, which is completely contradictory to what I think a wedding should be like. Am I being too narrow-minded that I’m unwilling to accept what could potentially become a new trend?
If I had to choose one, this would probably be my favorite. Not that I would wear it, but I do like the two-tone to the dress with the lace overlay. The overall design is just very flattering and unique. Plus it’s the least gloomy-looking.
This would probably work better for a red carpet event in my opinion.
The dress’s silhouette and color contrast creates so much drama that it wouldn’t be easy to pull off.
All I can say is… at least it’s not all black!
This has to be my least favorite since from far it actually looks kind of cheap (sorry Vera!) and that’s not how a Vera Wang dress is supposed to look like! The details cannot be seen and the shape is not the most flattering.
Again, I feel this dress is also more appropriate for a fancy party or show rather than a wedding. Who wants to get married looking so dark and gloomy?
