Want something retro with a modern spin to add some pizzazz to your outfits?
Then check out Smitten NYC, a line intended to bring you just that. Founded in 2008 and available in department and online retail stores, Smitten is dedicated to bringing functional yet fashionable clothes with a vintage feel and a modern cut.
The inspiration for Smitten’s retro look comes from romance comic books of the 40s and 50s, a unique way to approach women’s ware.
Behind the designs are an international trio of Asian designers: Aya Shiraishi, Jerry Chen, and Sung Lee. Shiraishi is a Japanese designer who incorporates his Asian animation influence into his designs. Coming from a Taiwanese fashion family, Chen graduated from Parsons in New York City while Korean designer Lee graduated from the Drexel Design School in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. With such a unique trio of designers, Smitten NYC is able to create clothes with an emphasis on international focus.
One lucky winner can have her pick of any item off their website.
