Though I’m not Asian-American, I feel I end up dealing with much of the same social adversary being a mixed breed of both Mexican and Puerto Rican descent. I’m lumped into the bulk of Spanish-speaking people, where everyone is known as Mexican. “Do you speak Mexican?”
Similarly, referring to a Puerto Rican as Mexican is like referring to someone Taiwanese as being Chinese. Yeah. Hella rage be coming at you.
