So here it is! The long-awaited (hey, 3 weeks is long in viral video-land) Asian American version of Sh** Girls Say has gone viral and the Youtube clip is pretty on point with its stereotypical casting of Asian American women; Hello-Kitty enthusiasts who love boba, designer hand bags, and animatingly posing for random pictures.
Although it limits the Asian American female persona to only a few social traits, it does its best to provoke a good laugh here and there. Enjoy!
In between all the long shifts and shenanigans that occur during the week, we all love to sit in front of our computers and get a good laugh from the latest videos trending on YouTube.
Now, ladies. How many times have you been hit on with the typical lines that are so inflated with Asian stereotypes it literally makes you want to shove a American history textbook down the guy’s throat.
Nearing 30,000 views, “How To Hit On An Asian Girl” by MarkY3K, is a video that explains what not to say when attempting to seduce an Asian American female. Finally, a hilarious “tongue in cheek” way to comment on an issue that definitely affects all the alluring yet fed-up Asian American ladies.
This TC Bank commercial freaking made me bawl like a baby and reminded me of a moment in time that changed my life forever.
I was about 20 and on a train swishing through Switzerland. I went to stand by the railing to stretch my legs. An old man beside me in sport gear decided to strike up a conversation. I found out that he was 86(!) and biking around the Swiss Alps.
That just rocked my world forever. I realized you don’t have to face aging with a white flag, surrendering your life and health just because you’re old. You can freaking bike the Swiss Alps when you’re 86.
It starts now.
It starts with a healthy diet and regular physical activities (just park near the back of the lot and walk to the grocery store, for chrissakes).
It starts with waking up each day making the decision to LIVE, LIVE, LIVE.
It starts with letting go of regrets and the past and stepping into the now and present.
Would love to hear your thoughts on this TC Bank: Dream Rangers commercial below.
