What do you get when you cross a red hat and a banana?
Before I tell you that, I have to tell you that the “Tammy” off shoulder dress in teal by VAVA by Joy Han is an absolutely darling vintage dress. It has the romantic feel of a loose fitting tunic. Throw on a pair of boots, a couple of rust colored bangles, maybe a belt, and you’re all set. You can’t go wrong with this. You can dress it up, dress it down, wear ‘em with jeans or leggings. Whatever bounces your ball. A timeless, classy piece. Add it to your wardrobe for sure.
And the answer to my riddle is?
I don’t know.
I just thought a banana wearing a red hat was funny.
My mama always told me cotton products were the best because they were lightweight and breathable. But when I think of cotton clothing, I think of underwear. Or undershirts. Or marshmallows.
The “Dylan” off-shoulder dress in white from VAVA by Joy Han makes me reconsider my preconceived notions of cotton. Made from 100 percent cotton, this romantic dress is designed with careful attention to detail. The ruffled collar and sleeves showcase the quality of the dress, and it has enough detailing to make it stylish without going over the top, giving it a timeless look. The belted waist is an homage to the empire waistline from back in the day, but it’s proportioned just right to give it a modern feel.
I guess my mom knew what she was talking about when she said cotton products were the best.
A couple of months ago I was out shopping with my 50-plus-year-old mother and she suggested I buy a romper telling me that it was “the newest trend.” Flash-forward to now, lo and behold, they are everywhere!
Joy Han’s designs for VAVA are meant to make women feel young, beautiful and confident. You will definitely feel young and beautiful and exude confidence with the “Melanie” romper. The top features a ruffle front neckline with very summer-ish colors. The shorts have a smocked elastic waist so you’ll be über comfortable while strolling along the beach or enjoying BBQ and lemonade on the patio.
