TGIFree Friday Giveaway: BuyLove Totes
Post by Janice • November 05, 2010 • Post a comment

Best friends are a special thing. Soul sisters are a rare treasure. One that often ended at childhood when you stopped trading friendship necklaces. But BuyLoveGiveLove is bringing that back.

BuyLove came to life at a local starbucks when two childhood friends came together with a vision in mind. Like a friendship bracelet for grown ups, the tote bags comes in a pair, each one containing half of a bigger design that can be seen when the bags are placed side by side. The designs are intricately-sketched heart details that is sure to make all the girly girls in us swoon.

Even better, you’d be supporting a good cause by purchasing a tote bag! Each tote bag would focus on empowering women through different non-profit organizations. Each bag purchased will give 5% of its proceeds to a non-profit organization that best represents that line.

The official launch party for the line is November 7th, 2010 in Pomona, CA. A sneak peak of the lines will be shown along with information about the various organizations BuyLove is working with. Each bag purchased will include a message about the organization that the proceeds will be going to, in hopes of inspiring women and girls everywhere to get involved. The tote bags are perfect for school, work, or even the beach. It has a top zip closure with two interior pockets and is made out of a cotton canvas with leather PU trim and metal feet on the bottom.

The BuyLove tote, with a design of an oversized gift-wrapped heart will give proceeds to Precious Life Shelter, whose mission is to provide residential and supportive services for homeless pregnant adult women.

The BuyForgiveness tote, a patched up heart, will support Marin Services for Women, helping women save and transform their lives by providing the most effective substance abuse recovery programs.

And last but not least, the BuyStrength tote (pictured above), a pretty tree blossoming with hearts, will support Operation Courage is Beautiful whose mission is to show our appreciation for our courageous military service women’s contribution and sacrifice by shipping care packages that give a little joy and femininity to their service lives.

We are giving away a pair of BuyStrength tote to one lucky winner (and her best friend). Since these bags are so awesome, we’re requesting you to:

1) Look through our previous posts and comment on three of them.
2) On the comments section below THIS post, tell us which three posts you commented on.

We will select the best comment and award them the giveaway. An @audreymagazine tweet will also count as a comment!

This giveaway ends Wednesday, Nov. 10 at 11:59PM. Good luck and happy commenting!

Here at Audrey, TGIF means Thank Goodness It’s Free! We have Friday giveaways for our readers, everything from beauty products to accessories to goodies to make life easier.

Today we’re kicking TGIF off with a must-have for every eBook reader, including the Kindle — the Kandle by Ozeri.

The Kandle by Ozeri.

Created by Korean American Scott Kim’s company Ozeri, the Kandle features a new patent pending design that attaches to eBooks and printed books without blocking the screen or page. With double pivoting arms for easy positioning and adjustment for maximum screen illumination, and two lifetime x2 LEDs that are optimized to distribute light evenly without creating glare or eyestrain, the Kandle by Ozeri is ultra portable, petite and super light.

What I like best about the Kandle by Ozeri is that it works on regular, old-fashioned books, too (for those of us who relish the literal feel of a page turner), and even works as a stable, free-standing night light. No more keeping up your man or roommate late into the night.

The Kandle by Ozeri.

Want one? All you have to do is become a fan of Audrey Magazine on Facebook, follow us on Twitter, and then comment below (tell us about our new website, your experience with Kandle, or anything else on your mind starting from today March 26th until March 31st at 11:59PM). We’ll pick five lucky winners.

Good luck and TGIF!
