As summer winds down, it’s time to update your wardrobe with the newest trends for fall. As strange as it may seem, your shoes are one of the first things others notice about you. Make an impression with these must-have shoes.
Loafers

Loafers are officially the new flats. However, this doesn’t mean you need to rock Sperry Top-siders to your next dinner party. The new loafer is sleek, elegant, and versatile. Loafers are appropriate for the office and the bar, making them the perfect shoes for a day-to-night outfit. Go for a classic look with this loafer from Christian Louboutin or try a more adventurous variation, like these ones by Elizabeth and James and Alexander Wang.
It may have taken a while to convert, but in recent months, I have become an admitted accessories fiend. Though I used to shy away from jewelry, handbags and the like, in recent years, I’ve found myself scouring shops and the internet looking to add to my ever-growing collection. Not helping my new found addiction, the trends predicted for this upcoming fall are ones that are exciting, yet accessible and can easily help update any fall wardrobe.
Check out some of the trends to look out for this fall after the cut!

It’s time for another edition of Summer Styling. This time around, we’re focusing on the dress code for our favorite kind of summer event—concerts!
Outdoor Concerts
Nothing screams summer like lying out on the grass and listening to some great music under the sun. Whether you’re hitting up a rave or listening to some local music in the park, you’ll never be out of style with these fashion tips.
This past summer, the Sands Expo & Convention Center in Las Vegas hosted the ENK WSA Show, the most comprehensive footwear and accessories biannual show in the world. Twenty10 Footwear was one of many exhibitors to showcase a sneak preview of its Holiday 2011 and Spring 2012 women’s footwear collection.
Based in Los Angeles, Twenty10 Footwear has a full collection of women’s shoe styles ranging from flats to rainboots to sneakers and pumps. What makes this brand special is that it exclusively holds the Hello Kitty license for women’s footwear.
I just bought the Asian Barbie (#005) from the Council of Fashion Designers of America’s Barbie Basics line for my 7-year-old niece last Christmas. It’s the closest thing to an Asian Barbie I could find anywhere on the web that wasn’t adorned in a hula skirt or cheongsam.
And though the doll is not exactly ideal for a first grader (a skintight tube dress and heavy eye makeup), it’s something I would have loved to have in my childhood doll collection, right next Ballerina Barbie and Hello Kitty. Of course, now that I’m a grown-up (chronologically speaking), I’m crazy for a new collection of Cissy and NEOCissy dolls designed by Chinese American designer Jason Wu for Madame Alexander.
