The Oscars are now in full swing! Check out some of the Asian celebrities hitting the red carpet!
Recap some of the Golden Globes fashion from Sunday evening – all featuring some of your favorite Asian celebrities!
I have to admit, as much as I love sitcoms and scripted television shows, I cannot really bring myself to spend 3 hours watching an awards show. I’ve done it in the past, don’t get me wrong, but it is definitely not a regular pastime.
However, I do love checking out the red carpet fashions and this year’s ladies seemed extra-impeccably-dressed. Could good taste finally be coming back in for Hollywood? Let’s take a look at some of the fashionable Asians strutting their stuff.
True Blood’s Janina Gavankar added extra flair with a pink fluffed mini and Stephen Webster jewels at the HBO Official Emmy After Party. Continue Reading »
From remembering 9/11 to an empowering musical showcase to our own Audrey’s Fashion Night Out, here are this week’s Happenings.

Taking place four months after 9/11, Barriers deals with the Chinese/Pakistani Abbas family, and the loss of their oldest son Nabhil at the World Trade Center. As this multicultural family begins to disintegrate, we piece together the past each one hides, and the future they all share. Originally mounted in 2002 and then subsequently co-produced with the Asian American Theater Company in San Francisco and Los Angeles in 2003, Barriers is returning to the stage to look back on the ten-year anniversary of the World Trade Center tragedy. The play is written by Rehana Mirza and directed by Colete Robert.
Troves of star power trekked out to the Snow Flower and the Secret Fan screening at the Tribeca Grand Hotel last week. And the fashion, though tamer than, say, the Cannes Film Fest or NY fashion week, was still something to be noted.
This summer take your style cues from ladies like Olivia Munn and Jamie Chung, and wear the cutest frocks featuring the big trends seen on the runways. Think polka dots, florals, stripes, tribal, orange — go bold or go home! We’ve compiled a list of shops where you can find your perfect summer dresses, but get them while they’re hot.
In a collision of media worlds, a more in-depth version of Audrey Magazine’s Olivia Munn behind the scenes photo-shoot will be premiering on MYX this Thursday, 5/5! (What better way to celebrate Cinco de Mayo, eh?)
Just to remind you what sorts of sexiness you’ll be catching…

Olivia’s Spring covershoot was just as fun as the celeb herself. From singing Disney tunes in the dressing room to dancing to 90′s hip hop, Munn kept our spirits up with her endless streams of LOL quips. The photos are gorgeous (as you already saw) but the video’s even more awesome! (Cause Olivia talks and moves and her hair blows in the wind and stuff) Check it out below:
Audrey’s been gearing up for a sweet Spring issue with the lovely Olivia Munn gracing our cover and a special tween/teen TV feature story.
It sure seems like Asian American tweens/teens are all over Hollywood these days! We can’t wait for the kick-butt Supah Ninjas (starring half-Japanese cutie newcomer Ryan Potter and George Takei) to air on Nickelodeon in Spring.
And another Nickelodeon star True Jackson VP’s Ashley Argota is celebrating her 18th birthday on Saturday, Jan. 29! The bday party will be held at the W Hotel in Hollywood and the guest list is a who’s who in teen programming, from iCarly cuties to Victorious VIPs.
Wish you can be there? Now you can! Audrey Magazine is sending a guest jr. reporter to work the red carpet for this party and it could be you! Here are deets for our first-ever Guest Jr. Reporter Competition:
1) Contestants must be between the ages of 15-20 and have a responsible ride to Hollywood, California on Jan. 29.
2) Upload on our Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/audreymagazine) a 15-20 second video of yourself explaining why you would make a great guest Jr. Reporter for Audrey. Audrey Magazine staff will choose the winning entry.
3) Contest ends Thursday, Jan. 27 at 6pm PST. Winner will be announced Friday morning.
4) If for some reason, you can’t make it to Ashley’s Birthday, we will forfeit your title and give it to the next best video entry.
Audrey Magazine reserves all rights to cancel or forfeit this contest at any given time.
Looking forward to checking out all the entries. Good luck!
