Remember that survey that we made you all take awhile back? No? Well, we still remember all your responses! (Thanks for the overwhelmingly great and helpful suggestions, BTW!)

One of the tips that we took away from the surveys was that you wanted more “real” women to be featured in our pages. You wanted more diverse faces and body types to redefine the definition of Asian American beauty .

Well, here’s your chance!

We here at Audrey love women of all shapes, colors, ages and sizes and we want them in our pages! We’re looking for confident, sexy women (and that’s all of you, isn’t it?) to feature in a beautiful upcoming Audrey Magazine photo shoot. We’re looking for Asian American girls of all shapes, sizes, ages and personalities, of South Asian to East Asian descent, hapa to Pacific Islander. If you’re interested in being featured in Audrey Magazine, please submit the following:

1) Two photos of yourself. A full-length and a headshot.

2) A self-introduction (name, age, where you live, occupation, ethnicity) and what features you love most about your body and face and why.

You may have heard of famous street photographer/bloggers Scott Schuman (The Sartorialist), Asian American Tommy Ton of Jak & Jil, but here’s a name to keep an eye out for in 2011: Bonae L’amour. The Vietnamese American photographer, originally from New Orleans and now based in New York City, says he photographs “souls and spirits, not simply people.” He is an advocate for diversity in fashion and the media.

Here, some of Bonae’s shots of Asian models off duty.

One of the season’s more popular models, Ming Xi — she of the famous ears — made her debut at New York Fashion Week spring 2011, after a successful run in Europe. “She was enthusiastic,” says Bonae. He shot her here after Jason Wu’s spring 2011 show.

One of the few Asian Americans on the catwalk, Bonnie Chen walked for Vivenne Tam as well as Erin Fetherston, Marchesa and Thuy. The Chinese American (she splits her time between New York, Hong Kong and Beijing) graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a degree in psychology. The former rhythmic gymnastic national champion kicked off her modeling career as a finalist in the Elite Model Look competition when she was 16.

“Liu Wen said she was very honored and thanked me when I congratulated her on Estee Lauder,” says Bonae. Both Liu and fellow Marilyn NY Agency model Constance Jablonski landed contracts with Estee Lauder last year. The good friends worked together previously on a ck Calvin Klein SS 2010 campaign. Chinese model Ping Hue Cheung made her debut last year and walked Matthew Williamson, Ports 1961 and Halston, among others, for spring. She most recently appeared in a fashion editorial for Teen Vogue.

Korean model Hyoni Kang is still going strong since winning the Ford Supermodel of the World contest in 2008. She most recently appeared in a Marie Claire editorial. Here, she shows us how to do military modern.

“It was the Korean newcomer’s first NY fashion week,” says Bonae of Korean model So Young Kang. “She was very excited!” Kang made her debut at the Chanel fall couture show in Paris last year.

Selina Khan is from French Guyana and is of Indian, Vietnamese, Arabic and Creole descent. She’s walked and modeled for Ralph Lauren and Gap.

Danica Magpantay, winner of a Cal-Carries Models contract, shows us her off-duty poise.

The world of fashion solely revolves around ever-shifting trends and fresh faces, like that of the just-announced Ford Models Supermodel of the World 2011, Filipina model Danica Magpantay.

Magpantay gives us a taste of her fierceness in an editorial for Preview Jan/Feb 2011.

It was last November when the University of the Philippines Diliman fine arts student strut her way to hail as Ford Models Supermodel of the World Philippines 2010.

Lala Flores (left) is not only a supermodel mom to Magpantay, but a makeup artist to many of the Philippines' models and celebrities like Angel Locsin (right).

Magpantay is a rookie when walking the line, but her catwalk lineage runs strong as she is the descendant of former 1990 Supermodel of the World-Philippine delegate and Asia’s Most Glamorous Model in 1994 Lala Flores.

Charlene "Chat" Almarvez was featured in editorials in publications such as Vogue China, V Magazine, and the New York Times in 2010.

In 2010, another Filipina model, Charlene Almarvez, was the first runner-up behind Latvia’s Katrina Karlina Caune at the 2010 Ford Models Supermodel of the World in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Here are some of our favorite parts of the night.

The Venue

Audrey’s makeover of the Petersen Automotive Museum was a complete success. The already gorgeous showroom was enhanced with lavender gobo light strewn across the walls. Our only gripe may be going all the way to first floor just to use the restroom but if you can’t make the trek, you didn’t really need to go anyway.

Star-studded Red Carpet

Lots of celebs popped up on the red carpet, including The Bold and the Beautiful’s Ashley Jones (pictured above), C.S. Lee (Dexter), Youtube makeup guru Michelle Phan, and Amy Hill. Non-celebs also made plenty use of the bright orange Audrey backdrop, posing like the inner-divas they are throughout the night.

Justin Chon

The Twilight star stole the show not once but TWICE when he took the stage hosting the celebrity runway portion of the show. First, he gave an endearing speech honoring and celebrating the Asian American woman and then he took off his shirt to reveal some bright red nipple tassels and short jean shorts. Talk about making a fashion statement!

Fashion

You must be 5’10″ and 100 lbs. to pull this Mik Imik dress off but we still think it’s super pretty.

The outfit on the left is SO HOT. The bowler hat, the red lace rights, the fluffy scarf. Jotting it down for our Christmas wish list. And the fur vest on the right is furr-ocious. Paws off to designer Jenny Han.

Pop Up Booths

We loved being able to check out what we saw on the runway right after at the designer pop up booths. That way, fashion like Jellypop shoes (above) can go straight from the runway to…your feet!

Goody Bags

Let’s face it, we’re Asian. We love free stuff. The packed Audrey’s Night Out goodybags reciprocated our feelings quite nicely.

Friends

Meeting new people while hanging out with old friends are the key benefits to Audrey’s Night Out. Whether mingling, networking or flirting, there were plenty of people from the 1000+ guest list to chat with.

Hey, we had a long, hard month working on this night, okay? Thanks Ketel One and Stella Artois for making it all that much better.

Audrey’s Night Out was an indubitable success and we have been overwhelmed with all the love, laughter, fun, fashion and Ketel Ones shared throughout the evening and then after.
