We’ve talked about the incredible cast in the upcoming film, White Frog.

BD Wong, Joan Chen, Harry Shum, Jr., BooBoo Stewart...talk about star power!

Here’s the trailer for the film.

White Frog follows an Asian American family dealing with the death of Chaz Young (Shum), a brother, son and friend. The story centers around young Nick (Stewart) who also has Asberger’s.

Celebs Show Off Their Poker Face

Audrey Magazine got a chance to play its hand at the First Annual Celebrity Poker Tournament hosted by Coalition for Asian Pacifics in Entertainment (CAPE) at the W Hotel in Hollywood, benefitting the foundation’s educational programming. CAPE advances diversity and cross-cultural awareness by educating and promoting Asian Pacific Americans for key artistic and leadership roles in the entertainment industry.

We chatted with some celebs and asked about their upcoming projects, poker strategies and thoughts on CAPE’s mission.

Darkened Manes vs. Lightened Locks

Until I was about 13, I had virgin hair. My long black strands were shiny, healthy and only incurred slight damage from daily blowouts and the occasional hot curlers. But one day, on a whim, one of my older sisters suggested I get highlights. With the older-sister-knows-best mentality, I went for it — despite the fact that I knew my mother would be livid. She believed in going au naturel when it came to my hair color because she thought it made me look more Chinese and less Americanized.

Simply Stylist Recap

On March 22nd and 23rd, stylists filed in one by one to Space 905 for the Simply Stylist Event, organized by Caro Marketing. Here, celebrity stylists, bloggers and magazine editors came to view the collections and meet some of the rising designers. The chic guests, which included two-time Emmy Award winning costume designer Soyon An and fashion blogger Jenny Wu, chatted with designers and representatives of different brands to get a better understanding of each line from which they could feature or pull pieces.
