Audrey Insider | Interview with Bangalore-based Designer Michelle Salins
Post by Honestine • October 10, 2012 • Post a comment

The up and coming fashion designer Michelle Salins has recently debuted her collection for Fall/Winter 2012 in America. What stands out about the Indian-born designer from others is her modern and feminine mix of both Indian and American cultures. Beginning her career in 2009, Salins was formerly an interior designer before establishing her career as a fashion designer. We were fortunate enough to interview the designer who talks about her inspiration, her American release, and her tips for Fall.

Designer to Watch for the Fall Season: Paul & Joe
Post by Binna • August 02, 2012 • Post a comment

Fall 2012 may be months away, but we, here at Audrey, can’t wait to feel the texture of wool, knits, and tweed on our skin again. This is why we’re so excited to tell you about a fall collection from the luxury brand Paul & Joe and its more affordable line Paul & Joe Sister. Our observation of what’s to come for fall trends were supported when we went through the racks of clothes from autumn collection yesterday on Robertson Blvd. We were pleased to see chunky knitted sweaters, leather bottoms and tops, cute and exotic prints, and suits filled the shiny silver racks. As well-groomed ladies came sauntering into the store, a DJ in the corner was spinning lively music while a server walked around the store holding a silver tray of hors d’oeuvres and a bartender in the back mixed pink martinis. The mood of the event was perfectly set making it easier and a more pleasant evening for us to get a sneak preview of Paul & Joe’s Autumn collection.

AudreyShops Daily Deal: Ija Large Clasping Bangle
Post by Anna • April 24, 2010 • Post a comment

Oh, the minimalist ’90s. Sometimes, I have to admit, I do miss it.

Well, I’m in luck because based on the fall 2010 runway shows this past February, the ’90s is going to have a huge comeback in a handful of months.

Maybe you’re a minimalist or a classicist at heart. Or maybe you just like to get a leg up on the fashion competition. Either way, you’re gonna wanna get your hands on Ija’s large clasping bangle in sterling silver.

New York Fashion Week: More Beauty
    Post by Anna • February 25, 2010 • Post a comment

The beauty looks from New York Fashion Week keep rolling in. And with most of the country still swathed in chilly weather, now’s the perfect time to experiment with the looks models wore down the runway last week.

My favorite is M*A*C’s face chart for Peter Som. Super spiky eyelashes, a shimmery golden eye and vampy lips for an “uptown girl meets Woodstock” look, according to makeup artist Tom Pecheaux. It’s so easy to do and a refreshing change from spring’s pastel profusion.
