It’s time for another edition of Summer Styling. This time around, we’re focusing on the dress code for our favorite kind of summer event—concerts!

Nothing screams summer like lying out on the grass and listening to some great music under the sun. Whether you’re hitting up a rave or listening to some local music in the park, you’ll never be out of style with these fashion tips.
This summer take your style cues from ladies like Olivia Munn and Jamie Chung, and wear the cutest frocks featuring the big trends seen on the runways. Think polka dots, florals, stripes, tribal, orange — go bold or go home! We’ve compiled a list of shops where you can find your perfect summer dresses, but get them while they’re hot.
Etsy.com has become one of my favorite sites over the years, as I scour for the cute, the vintage and the unique. New shops pop up like daisies and it can be tiresome keeping track of my favorite stores.
But Jewel Numkki’s sweet line of dresses, tops, skirts and cardigans, all embellished with whimsical appliques and handmade touches, is hard to forget.

Designer Cecilia Lee started Jewel Numkki (pronounced jool-nuhm-kki) as a hobby, and it’s blown up into a bona fide small business for her. After graduating from the University of Hawaii in Fashion Design and Merchandising, Lee worked on another clothing line before moving to California. She continued to receive requests for custom-made dresses and tops from former clients, so she decided to start her own line through Etsy.
So what does Jewel Numkki mean? “I wanted my clothing line to have a name that was youthful, fun and expressive,” says the Korean American, so she anglicized the Korean word for “jump rope.” “It gets people to ask me what it means and I can teach them a Korean word at the same time,” she adds.
To give you a head start on your spring wardrobe this week, we’re giving away a Jewel Numkki gem: a purple “YoYo Garden” dress that retails for $88 and fits any size between XS and M.

There’s been a lot of buzz about the upcoming Disney film by the ever-quirky Tim Burton, Alice In Wonderland. This one’s got Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter and it’s in 3-D, so you know it ain’t gonna be no Disneyland ride.
There have been all sorts of promos for the film, from makeup palettes to accessory lines. The latest collaboration is with veteran fashion designer Sue Wong, who has launched Sue Wong for Walt Disney Signature, a high-end dress line inspired by the Lewis Carroll tale. It’ll be available as a special limited edition collection for spring 2010.
