In our Spring 2011, we told you that Dengue Fever‘s new album, Cannibal Courtship, was coming out April 19. Now the Cambodian American Chhom Nimol-led psych-rock band celebrates the release and kicks off their U.S. tour with an all-ages record release party next week at the Troubadour in Los Angeles. Don’t miss out on the chance to hear live the Cambodian rock, Afro grooves, surf, and garage psych music of this uber-hip, eclectic band. (They’ll be debuting the Mastadong, a one-of-a-kind half Fender Jazzmaster guitar, half Cambodian Chapei Dong Veng, which was created exclusively for Dengue Fever guitarist Zac Holtzman, and is featured on the album cover, above, with Nimol.)
