The right clutch for an event is always difficult to scrounge up. You only need a few necessities for the evening. A lipstick, credit cards, a camera, your phone. As a writer, I pretty much lug my laptop everywhere. I lug it to the coffee shops and to the libraries. I lug it to my car and to my work. It’s like I’m back in college holding overweight books again.  But I would be oh so cool if I had this “over-sized” leather messenger bag by Beth Springer. It’s strong enough for a laptop yet lightweight and is a great travel companion whether you are going across town or half way across the world. Plus, it’s also made out of vegetable dyed leather so you know it’s strong.  I think my favorite thing about this bag is its color though. I’m a sucker for colors commonly found on vegetables and this spinach green is just bold enough to be striking without being too over the top.  I can’t eat it but carrying it would be the next best thing!

There is nothing complicated about this origami! By Beth Springer, this Silver Origami Italian Leather Purse is simply a pleasure to look at and hold.  It’s lightweight and eco-friendly and super pretty! So not only do I feel like I am making the world a prettier place, I feel like I’m also making it a better place. And who doesn’t like that, right?

But really, what I love about the “Dim Sum” is that it has everything you need for spring. The long gold chain strap, the perfectly two-toned tan hue, and the de rigeur drawstring bucket shape. The chain gives any casual shorts-and-tee outfit that extra oomph, while the bucket shape and color lends an air of that nonchalant prep-geek look everyone’s trying to accomplish this season. (Think Alexa Chung.)

What more can you ask for?

Lighten up for spring! Hues straight out of candy shop, long chain handles (perfect for nonchalantly slinging across your body — even dressed up!), and a sprinkling of hardware add some levity to the new season.
