Carine Roitfeld, former editor-in-chief of Vogue Paris and current editor-in-chief of CR Fashion Book, has developed quite a successful reputation. To add on to her list of stunning work is her new feature in Harper’s Bazaar September issue. “Singular Beauties” is said to be “an homage to the diversity of women” and thankfully our community has recognition within this diverse group of women.
“China Machado (left) The first Eurasian supermodel (and Bazaar fashion editor from 1962 to 1972), still breaking barriers at age 83.”
“Soo Joo Park (right)
Modeling’s blonde Asian, reinventing her look at age 27.”
“Xiao Wen Ju(left) A lithe beauty at five foot nine.”
“Chiharu Okunugi A Japanese beauty with poetic presence.”
Watch the behind-the-scenes footage below and check out the entire feature here.
When you think about what kind of clothes would look good on SHAG (Smoking Hot Asian Guy) Lee Min-ho, you’d probably think of something like a nice pair of swim trunks. You know, just enough clothing to show off those gorgeous abs. You probably wouldn’t think of him in a big snow jacket nearly completely covered up.
But you’re wrong. Completely wrong.
Proving to us that he can look stunning in just about everything, the South Korean actor posed for an Autumn/Winter French outdoor clothing brand photoshoot. Needless to say, Lee Min-ho looks amazing as always.
Be on the look out for his upcoming drama, Heirs, alongside actress Park Shin Hye.
To mark their eighth year as a publication, Vogue China called on photography duo Inez van Lamsweerde & Vinoodh Matadin to shoot eight different covers for their September 2013 edition, each of which feature one of eight of the world’s top models. Four of the covers spotlight four of China’s own (and some of our favorite cover girls) — Xiao Wen Ju, Sui He, Liu Wen and Fei Fei Sun — as well as Daria Strokous, Doutzen Kroes, Kati Nescher and Sasha Pivovarova.
Chinese Actress and Model Zhang Jiani recently took some breath-taking fashion photos just in time for Summer. Her most recent work includes her role as Meng Jin Zhen in Gong 3 and her role as Su Su in the drama Jing Zhong Yue Fei. Clearly, she is just as good a model as she is an actress. Check out her complete control of vibrant patterns and colors in the fashion photos below.
To celebrate their 17th anniversary, Vogue Korea is releasing three versions of their latest issue, which will be available this August. On the cover is none other than Big Bang’s leader, the ever-stylish G-Dragon. The “One of a Kind” singer-rapper-songwriter shows off three very different sides of himself in each cover, appearing alongside top Korean models Soo Joo, Sunghee Kim and Jihye Park.
Make way for The Baddest Female there is. Last month, 2ne1′s CL released her first solo single in over five years. Was she successful? You bet. In less than 24 hours after the video release of her solo single, she hit over 1 million views. Clearly, CL is ready to take the stage. Check out her photoshoot for Vogue July 2013- its nothing short of fierce.
Monique Lhuillier has been a household name in bridal gowns since she first launched her company in 1996. With the opening of her New York flagship store in November, the Filipina-French designer has firmly established herself as the leading lady of eveningwear. Lhuillier’s gowns regularly grace the red carpet and, based on the look of her Fall 2013 ready-to-wear line that she debuted last Saturday at New York Fashion Week, this year should be no different.
For Lhuillier, Fall 2013 was all about the contrast from day to night. White, black, green, and gold dominated the designer’s color palate, making for a dramatic appearance. However, this boldness of color was balanced by delicate art deco details. Must-have items from daywear included the feather printed crepe seamed pants with contrast waistband, the black web lace blouse, and the brocade printed crepe cap sleeve gown.

The second half of the show took a page straight out of The Great Gatsby. Embroidery, lace, and fringe strutted down the runway. Lhuillier hit the mark with her black and emerald embroidered tulle long-sleeve illusion gown which perfectly blended sensuality with sophistication. The gold feather lace draped strapless high-low gown with exposed tulle and the black and nude deco embroidered tulle long-sleeve gown were also highlights. However, the outfit that stole the night was Lhuillier’s cigarette lace pants with tulle overlay. With the Oscars just a week away, I hope to see some celebrities donning these on the red carpet.
