Out of all the fashion weeks around the world – all eyes definitely fall on Paris Fashion Week, where hot trends are picked off right off the runway. While you may not picture yourself wearing any one of these looks out on the street anytime soon, it’s always good to take note of the concepts and themes of every collection for inspiration while putting together your fall wardrobe. Some of our favorite trends that came out of Paris Fashion Week included: Stella McCartney’s “tractor soles”, menswear slacks, the return of the 1990s (think back to Courtney Love, baby doll dresses, plaid, and wet hair), and purple as a statement color.

J.Crew and denim company Goldsign collaborate for the first time – and produce a must-have collection for denim lovers alike.
The collaboration features three fits: “Jeane” – a feminine, sexy, high-waist American jean; “Jenny” – a slim leg, classic, 5-pocket, high-waist jean with cuff; “Holly” – a timeless 1950’s high-waist pencil skirt; ranging in price from $198 to $288. The washes vary in authentic vintages, pure indigos, and soft pastels and the fabrics and trims were designed with the modern woman’s lifestyle in mind. Not cool.
I mean, seriously, thanks British Vogue for featuring the slew of Asian supermodels dominating the runway (but seriously, they’re so hot, how can you not feature them?) but mistaking model Liu Wen for Du Juan? What a fashion faux pas!
If you thought the new Facebook movie, The Social Network just consisted of a bunch of dorky white guys talking about the internet, think again!
The movie also has plenty of eye candy, namely pretty (Eur)asian girls, infiltrating the scenes. The blogosphere is already all a flutter over whether these ladies are acceptable or not, objectified or not, stereotyped or not.
Whether or not the females in the film are just useless sex objects conveying a misrepresented stereotype, we know the actresses portraying the parts are anything but useless. Let’s get to know them a little better.
Brenda Song
22-year old Brenda Song is Christy Lee, a girlfriend of one of the main characters, Eduardo Saverin, in the flick. Within minutes of meeting Christy, she is off in a bathroom stall, giving Eduardo some…special favors in a restroom stall – something that completely contradicts the Disney Channels princess image the actress is most known for, playing London Tipton on The Suite Life of Zack and Cody. Song, who is Hmong, has been in the limelight since she was 5 and has more films in the works, including the indie Little Sister and The Suite Life Movie.
Malese Jow
Another tween darling, Jow’s age makes us blush a little as she played Song’s friend, Alice who gives main character Marc Zuckerburg (played by Jesse Eisenberg) the same…special favors that Christy Lee was giving Eduardo. The girl is only 19! The Chinese-Native American Jow has taken on plenty of TV roles, her breakout one being Emma Roberts’ best friend in Unfabulous. She was also part of The Vampire Diaries’ first season. We’re not sure where Jow will pop up next but with that striking face, we won’t be surprised if it’s sometime soon.
Courtney Arndt
Model Courtney Arndt is none other than our Fall cover girl! Still a newcomer to the industry, Arndt (who also goes by Courtney Jane) plays the “Victoria’s Secret Model” on Napster founder Sean Parker’s (played by Justin Timberlake) arms. The 21-year old Korean-German-Irish-Native American was discovered in Korea and has been modeling in Hawaii but we really just need more of her hotness over here!
Time to book the babysitters and clear your datebook because Audrey’s Night Out is back! For the third year, Audrey Magazine is hosting Audrey’s Night Out 2010, a fashion show bringing the Asian American community together for an evening of fashion, fantasy and fun.
Collaborating with some of the most exciting talents in the fashion, entertainment and music industry, Audrey’s Night Out will include hot celebrity models (and hot professional models) in the coolest Fall fashion, stellar musical performances and a fabulous star-studded after-party with a hosted bar.

Now that New York Fashion Week is done, London Fashion Week kicks off. And it’s great to see all the Asian faces strutting down the catwalk. Here, some familiar names, like Shu Pei Qin, and some new ones, too.

Editor’s note: the oversized utility coat gets a winter makeover for fall and continues to be huge into the new season. Get a spring one now to get a jump on the trend. I also love how olive green looks with a bronzey, burnished gold.
