For Lucy Liu (Kill Bill: Volume 1, Ally McBeal) the days of fighting the bad guys as one-third of Charlie’s Angels will finally come in handy again. The popular TNT cop drama Southland is bringing on the Chinese-American actress for its fourth season in January 2012. Liu will have a recurring role as a member of the Los Angeles Police Department. It’s not known how many episodes she’ll be in, but let’s hope we get to see her throughout the season. I don’t know about you, but I’ve missed her dominating the small screen. Granted, she’s done quite well for herself starring in blockbuster hits.
But now that she’ll be gracing the screens of TVs again, she’ll be a part of the show that brings viewers into the world of solving murders and fighting crime — all shot on location in L.A., which gives a closer look at the real danger that lingers in the city. Maybe this is the rebirth of Liu’s career in TV?
