Adorable Asian Babies Who Dress Better Than You (PART III)

If there’s one thing our readers can’t seem to get enough of, it’s Adorable Asian Babies. We’ve showcased the cuties with puppies, in Halloween costumes and even squeal-worthy submissions from our loyal readers.

But a favorite among everyone seems to be the  “Adorable Asian Babies Who Dress Better Than You” series. Apparently, we all can’t get enough of tiny tots who dress better than we ever did back in the day.

Who am I kidding? Some of these kiddos still dress better than us.

Video of the Day: Tiny Toddler & Her Gentle Giant

If you’re looking for something to make you smile and warm your heart, then you’ve come to right place. We’ve just found the newest member to our list of Adorable Asian Babies, and she’s brought a friend!

The gentle giant’s name is Simba and he’s a 2-year-old Tibetan Mastiff. Because of the breed’s large size, Tibetan Mastiff’s have historically been used as guard dogs. This does not appear to be the case with Simba however, who seems to resemble a pillow or a soft playground more than anything else.

The tiny human playing with (or shall we say on top of) Simba is Weiwei. Undaunted by Simba’s large size, Weiwei seems perfectly comfortable lounging on top of and cuddling with the gentle giant.

After the initial adorable gibberish, Weiwei begins singing popular Taiwanese song 爱笑的眼睛, which roughly translates to “loving and smiling eyes.”

Despite the little one sitting on him and talking away, Simba doesn’t seem to mind the company of his best friend. Check out the video below which has already begun to go viral and has reminded many viewers of the characters in My Neighbor Totoro.

Viral Video Alert: Tiny Floating Asian Babies

Radio Station STAR FM 93.9 uploaded a video onto their official Facebook earlier this month and it already has 170,000 shares and even more likes. What could possibly captivate people this much? Adorable Asian babies, of course!

In this video, a pair of chubby-cheeked babies are relaxing in a small tub using baby neck floats. It’s quite a sight if you’ve never seen this odd little contraption. The device is used to not only keep the baby afloat, it also encourages good exercise and allows babies to explore their body movements.

The cuteness of these babies in their tiny donut floaties have left many squealing in delight, but that’s not all. The adorable video has been met with an alarming amount of criticism from those who are unfamiliar with the device.

Many have voiced concern and even anger. They have called the parents “stupid” for leaving the babies with a device that looks “uncomfortable and dangerous.” Admittedly, as cute as they were, a part of me couldn’t help but worry for the comfort of these babies as well.

Thankfully, many Asian netizens have pointed out that baby neck floats have been around in Asia for years. In fact, an American company named Otteroo, sells the device and goes into detail about its comfort and  safety. According to the official site, this device helps satisfy mental curiosity, encourages water familiarity and helps physical development and coordination.

Have you tried a baby neck float on your child? If so, tell us your experience!

Asia Street Style: Stylish Parents With EVEN MORE Stylish Children

We’ve seen street style in Asia of couples or best friends sporting complementary looks in an effort to show their solidarity with each other, but while browsing through current street portrait photographs from Seoul, I was instantly drawn to these fashionable parents and their children. There isn’t a single trend shared between them; rather, the looks are a reflection of very different style personalities that are unbelievably cool and still completely embraceable by their mini-me’s. Raising children can be demanding and hectic, so when I find parents who manage to keep great style in their lives, it becomes an instant inspiration!

Matching leather biker jackets and aviator sunglasses already have a fab factor, but tossing up the trademark peace sign makes me smile at the cuteness overload from a future fashion-savvy mind.

2. Mother and sons show us how urban wear is done!

I love seeing a little bit of the Los Angeles urban vibe in Asia. Bold prints and a youthful appearance make this fashion-forward trio the epitome of Tom Hirota’s ideal of “casual-rich,” often used to describe the unique Joyrich brand that was founded in California.

3. Father and son looking quite dapper!

Men in Korea take fashion seriously with their neat styling and clean looks. Flawlessly paired accessories for both father and son make them an extremely eye-catching duo. Mixing blues and yellows are picture-perfect for long summer days.

Favorite Asian food: Rice and ramen… separated into bite-sized portions so that i can easily use my chopsticks to nom nom it all up
Favorite Asian actress/actor: Me! No… really… me. I love acting silly or pretending to be a zombie or a kitty. Someday you will see my name in lights after the word “Starring”. Oops there I go being super Asian and overachieving… I just answered a later question, didn’t I?
My fashion advice for Asian babies: For you little girls, princess all the way. Every skirt or dress magically transforms the wearer into a princess. For you little boys, I prefer the preppy banana republic, or if you can afford it, burberry look. Slightly nerdy or studious looking is the way to my heart.
My favorite way to wake my parents up: I tend to wake up… grab the ipad… unlock it… open the Netflix app… select my profile… and pick out a cartoon to watch. My mom will usually wake up to watch it with me because she’s just as geeky as I am.  Marvel comics or Powerpuff girls are popular wake up alarms.
What I want to be when I grow up: I want to be everything… which is why I am going to go into acting. That way every time I take on a new role, I will have a new job to learn and perform. If that falls through… I am going to join S.H.I.E.L.D as an agent. Stopping the bad guys and saving the world looks like something I can stand for.
