The highly anticipated film adaptation of Lisa See‘s Snow Flower and the Secret Fan will hit theaters in July 15th and we have a first look at the official trailer.
Boasting an impressive array of Asian names, the film stars Bingbing Li (The Forbidden Kingdom), Gianna Jun (My Sassy Girl), Vivian Wu (The Joy Luck Club), and Hugh Jackman. Director Wayne Wang (The Joy Luck Club) helmed the project and Wendy Murdoch (wife of Rudolph Murdoch) and Florence Sloan exec-produced.
Fans of the original novel by Lisa See will notice that the trailer’s storyline does not seem to match that of the book’s plot. Will this affect the movie’s success? We shall see!
