Did you hear? President Obama told People magazine in its most recent issue what he has on his iPod: “You know, there’s Reggie Love, but then all I get is Jay-Z, and I love Jay-Z, but once in a while I might want some Yo-Yo Ma or something.”

If you’ll recall, the iconic Chinese American cellist performed at the President’s inauguration, along with classical music icon Itzhak Perlman, Gabriela Montero and Anthony McGill. And Ma serves on the President’s Committee on the Arts and Humanities.

Well, the President’s in luck. Because the multiple Grammy-winning artist is celebrating his 30th anniversary recording with Sony Music (that’s right — he’s going to be 55 this year and and look how young he looks!) with the release of Yo-Yo Ma: 30 Years Outside the Box.

This is a must-have for any classical music diehard fan. The collection is a deluxe limited-numbered box set of 88 discs of every single original album release ever made, plus two discs of bonus material. It comes in gorgeous velvet-lined boxes, and includes a 312-page hard-bound book with rare archival photos, essays, original liner notes and more.
