Project by Project, a national 100% volunteer-run org. with chapters in LA, NY and SF, selected a beautiful summer Saturday evening to hold its 9th annual Plate by Plate Tasting Benefit.

Imagine the biggest potluck by some of the best chefs you’ll ever come across with plenty of ladies and gents dressed to the nines, a fun photo booth, an expensive entrance fee and you get Plate by Plate.

The food was scrumptious. Restaurants from Chamignon to Maximiliano (lower left) to Church & State to Maison Akira served samplings of their delights. This was definitely one party where you come hungry!

Meat, cheese and more meat. I was so happy.

Drinks were also free-flowing. Luckily, the interior of the Vibiana was pink so no one got to see all of that Asian glow!

Proceeds from the hefty $100+ entrance fee benefited AYC Youth and Family Services.

I’m sure you’re wondering, out of all the yumminess I sampled from the evening, which one was my favorite.

This milk braised pork belly with soft polenta and gremolada ended up in my belly. Many times over. I kid you not, it tasted like heaven.

Plate by Plate will next be held in NYC. Hope you can make it!
