Picking up at nearly 3 million views, this video from Los Angeles based chiropractor Ryan Lee has gone viral over the past couple of days on the internet. While we're sure Ryan was very intentional on marketing the services of his clinic, we can't help but wonder if he bothered to show anyone else this video before allowing it to go live on the YouTube. In fact, he appears just tad bit creepy and this video might even turn away customers. But then again, he is receiving a lot of public attention (although we're sure he wasn't expecting this kind). Check out the video below!

One of the biggest debates concerning Asian culture has been how Asian parent's raise their children. The phrase "strict Asian parent" has become a well-known stereotype and yet many of us can find some truth in this. It is said that Asians pride themselves in their academic achievements and are generally pushed towards a successful career. But what is the price for this success? How often do we hear of Asians who are allowed only a limited social life and pushed towards their books instead. How many times have we heard the story of an Asian forced to pursue a career their parents want...
Last season, Fox had very few successful outcomes. While we had high hopes for their newest multi-camera comedy Dads, the excitement may be short-lived. The comedy stars Seth Green and Giovanni Ribisi playing childhood friends (now in their thirties) whose lives are flipped upside down when their father's decide to move in with them. The cast will also include one of our favorites, Brenda Song. Unfortunately, the pilot preview fell short of our expectations. Aside from a few laughs, the preview began sounding problematic with Brenda Song forced into a schoolgirl outfit and performing a...
It is said that people become brutally honest during times of intoxication. We allow ourselves to feel heartbreak that we try to hold back, we tell people the things we are most afraid to admit, we even make mistakes- lots of them. Watch Wong Fru's most recent short "To Those Nights" as a reminder that the heart and mind wander to interesting places when under the influence of alcohol.
With a big gala to attend, Audrey Magazine asks an important question: what to wear?
The theme of the night was “A Vintage Hollywood Black Tie Affair” so what better place to look for a dress than to designer Sue Wong’s fabulous line of vintage silhouettes, beads, feathers and hues?
I decided to capture the difficult task on trying on many beautiful Sue Wong gowns on film and share with you all the journey.

Beats Per Mnet (BPM) is the Asian pop culture cable channel’s newest primetime lifestyle show, featuring everything from fashion advice to on-location segments about food to interviews with Asian celebrities. Model and actress Yvonne Lu chats with Audrey about being the face of the daily two-hour series “where Asian pop lives.”

The show’s goal: I want our viewers to feel like they’re our best friends. When we go on these shoots where we go out to eat at a cool restaurant or go find a cool new shop to buy things at, I want our viewers to feel like they’re with us and we’re experiencing it together.
Working with co-host PK: He’s not just a pretty face. (Laughs) We had an instant rapport. He’s the best friend that you’ve always wanted — very cool, very funny. It’s challenging because we always have to be quick on our feet and play off each other. Whatever you see on set is literally what you see behind the scenes.
Why we need BPM: I think it’s a really cool platform for Asian entertainers and public figures to showcase their talents and skills. We have all walks of life come on our show and that’s really important because it allows you to think outside the box. Sometimes in a traditional Asian family, your parents expect you to do certain things, and now we’re showing you it’s OK to do other things, as long as you follow your heart.
Details Airs Monday through Friday at 7 pm and 10 pm. Check Mnet.com for local listings.

At CAPE’s (Coalition of Asian Pacifics in Entertainment) 20th Anniversary Gala this year, we knew all the guests were jealous of the cast of Hawaii 5-0 (who were being awarded for the evening) for being able to work in, um, paradise.
So naturally, we asked them: “Where’s your favorite place in the world to work/ Where do you want to be able to work?” Check it:
Held at the Vibiana on October 22nd, Gen Art Fresh Faces, sponsored by smart car, really was the fashion show to attend in Los Angeles this season. Known as the event to debut designers such as Phillip Lim, Geren Ford and Rami Kashou, the event, hosted by Zoe Saldana, was brought back showcasing seven emerging designers.

You really can’t drag me to a scary movie.
But on the other hand, I can’t stop my eyeballs from watching one romantic comedy after the other.
So when I heard that the Korean flick, Spellbound contained both genres, I was intrigued. After all, a scary movie with romance in it can’t be that scary, can it? After all, how can mixing ghouls and spirits, blood and blood-pounding music with flowers and cute fashion, funny one-liners and sweet kisses leave me with nightmares? It can’t, right?
Spellbound was able to give me both. Continue Reading »

Here we are again. It’s the end of another year and we’re stuck asking ourselves where the time went while hurriedly adjusting our Santa Hats and fastening the sequins on our New Year’s Eve ensemble. While we’re waiting under the mistletoe, however, here are some things to keep ourselves occupied until the clock strikes midnight.

There were a whole lot of ass-kickers at CAPE’s (Coalition of Asian Pacifics in Entertainment) 20th Anniversary Gala. Maggie Q, the cast of Hawaii 5-0, Supah Ninjas, even a power ranger or two!
So naturally, we asked, “Who do you think is the most kick-ass person?”

What you see isn’t exactly what you get with Chin Han. The professionally trained dancer and theater veteran made his Hollywood debut in the 2008 hit The Dark Knight, opposite Heath Ledger and Christian Bale. After a 20-year acting career, the Chinese American actor, 41, pulls double duty in two film releases this fall, the Steven Soderbergh action thriller Contagion and Gus Van Sant’s Restless.

Mega set: [The Dark Knight] was my introduction to Hollywood and seeing movies operate on that scale. When I was younger, my brother and I would always read these graphic novels [so] when I got to do [the film], it was really, really cool.
Favorite project: I produced a musical, based on Ang Lee’s The Wedding Banquet, a couple years ago. We managed to tell the story we wanted to tell and I fulfilled my dream of probably be producing a musical, which is a creature unto itself.
On my bucket list: I actually like love stories, which is why Restless was kind of special to me. I better do one of those movies before I get too old. (Laughs) I like the interior landscape of the human heart as much I like to do big-budget action movies.

Freida Pinto discusses her new movie, The Immortals.
ISSUE: Fall 2011
DEPT: Plugged In
HED: Freida Pinto
STORY: Jimmy Lee
How about starting a new job by getting into bed with Superman? That was Freida Pinto’s predicament, when she began work on the new film Immortals: one of the first scenes shot was a love-making sequence with the soon-to-be Man of Steel, Henry Cavill.
“How can you feel bad for Henry?” said Tarsem Singh, the director of the highly stylized, eye-popping 3D epic, to a screaming crowd at last July’s Comic-Con. Truly, being in Pinto’s presence is a divine experience — especially fitting for a movie with a mythological backdrop. There is, of course, the beauty. But she also handles herself with grace and cunning, complimenting her co-stars while slyly addressing the criticisms coming from India about only making movies in the West.
“What’s amazing about the way my career’s been shaped is that there’s been an immense amount of growth,” said Pinto in July. “When people ask me, ‘Was it amazing working with all these handsome men?’ It is, certainly, and they’re also super-talented. Just sharing screen space with Stephen Dorff; having Mickey Rourke in your film. It’s just amazing to have that experience. It’s just really fast growth, which I wouldn’t have had if I was just sitting in [Mumbai].”
Granted, a swords-and-sandals action flick with Greek gods using Mt. Olympus- enhanced kung fu skills might not be the type of film you’d expect to see her in, but Pinto relished it. “It just gets boring if you stick to just one genre, just one kind of film-making,” said Pinto, who plays Phaedra, an oracle helping Cavill stop a power-mad Rourke from damning mankind. “You want to be challenged. And that’s the whole fun and joy of being an actor: to do everything that’s different.”
And being surrounded by male eye candy wasn’t so bad, either. “It’s very rare that you get to be part of a film where men have to bare it all and the women stay covered,” added Pinto. “It’s a damn good treat for me!”
Details In theaters November 11.
