On October 14th, Project Ethos’ pink-themed event, in honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, was a night filled with entertainment from art to music to fashion. Held at the House of Blues, guests were welcomed to take photos on the pink carpet and invited to sign the Ink It Pink wall, where for every signature, a dollar was donated to the cause thanks to Sharpie.
I first checked out the art installations before sitting down to enjoy the music of former American Idol contender Julie Zorilla. Black Cards, the headliners of the concert, then took the stage and lead singer Bebe Rexha really filled the venue with her powerful voice and stage presence.
As we were anticipating for the fashion show to begin, loud music was blasted through the speakers for what I thought would only be ten minutes but was really more like an hour. This was when the event started going downhill for me – I did not expect so much downtime between the musical acts and the fashion show, and I did not appreciate the booming music that had my ears ringing till the next day. However, once the fashion show began my mood returned to my initial level of excitement.
