The weather’s finally starting to clear up! Here’s what’s happening in March — a little dance (Jabbawockeez!), a little music (Lea Salonga live!), and some dishes best served cold (courtesy of Korean hottie Won Bin).
The Bangerz “Jabbawockeez MUS.I.C.” album release
When: March 1
Where: iTunes
By now, everyone knows the Jabbawockeez, the winners of MTV’s hit dance show, America’s Best Dance Crew, who have single-handedly elevated Asian Americans to the top of the hip-hop dance world. But do you know The Bangerz, the six-man, mostly Asian American DJ and production team that produces all the original music for all Jabbawockeez’ performances? Better study up. ‘Cause they’re about to hit the big time.
Not only do The Bangerz produce the music for the Jabbawockeez’ current headlining Las Vegas show “MÜS.I.C.”, they’ve also been featured on the NBA All Star Game to Pepsi commercials. Now The Bangerz, in collaboration with the Jabbawockeez, are set to release their much-anticipated album “Jabbawockeez MÜS.I.C.” on iTunes beginning March 1. Building off the success of their first single, “Robot Remains,” which climbed to the number seven electronic song on iTunes after its release in October 2010, “Jabbawockeez MÜS.I.C.” will feature 14 original songs, including several tracks from their critically acclaimed show “MÜS.I.C.” at Monte Carlo Resort & Casino.

Think The Professional, Korean-style, starring hottie Korean actor Won Bin (Mother, Tae Guk Gi: The Brotherhood of War). It was, after all, South Korea’s highest grossing film of 2010. Written and directed by Jeong-Beom Lee (Cruel Winter Blues), the critically-acclaimed, international box office smash is a violent and yet somewhat heartwarming action-packed story of a reclusive ex-special agent, Tae-sik Cha, who gets drawn into the lives of his neighbors, a drug-addicted young woman and her neglected daughter. When the mother and daughter get caught up in a drug war and are kidnapped, Cha has no choice but to jump into the fray. The film comes both subtitled and in a brand new English-language dub. Bonus features include the in-depth, behind-the-scenes featurette The Making of The Man From Nowhere, as well as a reel of action highlights from the film.
