Feelin’ blah? Give your pale winter face a boost with washes of glossy bronze and gold. It all started with the glossy lids seen on Chanel’s resort runway models.

And then the shimmery bronze eyes of the models in the fall ad campaigns of Bottega Veneta and DKNY (especially as shown on Liu Wen below) had me drooling.

And the gloss slides well into spring, as seen on runways from Carolina Herrera to Celine, from Marni to Max Azria.

To get the look is not as hard as you think. Get your own glossy sheen with these products. Start with Chanel’s eye gloss:

Chanel Luminous Cream Quadra Eye Shadow, $65, www.bloomingdales.com.

Then add a dab of your favorite face highlighter or bronze eyeshadow in the center of lids and inner corners of your eyes to get you glowing, not glittering. Taylor Pham makes a great cream eyeshadow in a stick for her cosmetics line Thi that is so easy to use. Dab, blend and go.

Thi Cosmetics creme eyeshadow, $15, www.thicosmetics.com.

My go-to face highlighter right now is Hard Candy’s Baked Blush. So subtle it’s hard to mess up.

Hard Candy Baked Blush in Pin Up, $7, www.walmart.com.

For a more intense shine, use your ring finger to dab a true bronze over the gloss all over your upper lid.

Hard Candy Kaleyedescope baked eye shadow in “Peace,” $6, www.walmart.com.

Can’t handle gloss? Fake it with Hard Candy’s glitter mascara topcoat. Just a swipe on the ends will have you gleaming!

Hard Candy Lash Tinsel in Showgirl, www.walmart.com.
