“Is that a toaster?” asked a random stranger (or should I say creeper?) as he points to my roommate’s phone. I have no idea why someone would try to start a conversation in that bizarre way, but whether bad or good, we’ve all heard them – pick-up lines. We always share these funny stories with our friends, so why not share them online where you can win a walk-on role for the premier episode of Millions?
Millions, the web series by screenwriter Andrew Chung featuring success stories of interesting artists and entrepreneurs, is holding a Walk-On Role Contest. All you have to do is submit the best or worst pick-up line you’ve ever heard. It’s really just that simple, and there are three ways for you to share:
1. YouTube – in the comments section
2. Facebook
3. Twitter – with hashtag #millionstheseries
You can post it in one, or all three places! They’ll add up the total of “Loves,” a.k.a. Thumbs Ups, Likes, or Retweets, depending on the site. Whoever has the most “Loves” in total wins! But to qualify, you have to subscribe to their YouTube page, “Like” their Facebook, or follow them on Twitter depending on where you decide to post.
The prize? A moment of fame for you to brag to your friends about. Plus you get to invite a friend with you as you say the Pick-Up line that got you onto the series in the premier episode.
The deadline is Tuesday, May 3rd, so get posting! The sooner you start, the longer you have to win “Loves!” More about the contest here. (Must be able to venture to Canada for this gig.)
