Though temperatures seem to be rising here in Southern California, it’s never too early to start getting ready for the cooler season of fall.  While I do appreciate the sunny days, I am anxious for the temperatures to start to come down and for my sweaters, boots and scarves to start to come out of storage.  Admittedly, I am even more excited for some new additions to my fall wardrobe.  Check out some of the trends – straight from the runway – that’ll be making their mark this fall!

OPPOSITES ATTRACT

The simple and clean color palette of black and white makes a comeback this upcoming season. But keep this color palette interesting by redefining monochrome through combining interesting textures, fabrics and cuts into your wardrobe this fall.

STATEMENT SWEATERS

Cute and cheeky but always eye-catching, playful statement sweaters are an easy, modern and comfortable way to add a little bit of fun and to quickly update your fall wardrobe. (And remember: statement sweater ≠ Cosby sweater; make sure your sweaters are well fit and keep the ’80s nostalgia to Dr. Huxtable!)

LEATHER WEATHER
A staple in all fall wardrobes, leather takes on a non-traditional form this fall, seen in more than just the omnipresent leather moto jacket.
