Word has it that Fan Bing Bing has been approached by the producers of biopic Dragon Lady to star in the upcoming film, and while it has not yet been confirmed whether or not the actress has agreed, we sincerely hope that the rumors are true.

Dragon Lady depicts the inspiring story of the late actress Anna May Wong (1905-1961), who made history as the first Chinese American actress, as well as the first Asian American to gain international recognition. Wong, who experienced much discrimination and rejection prior to achieving stardom, also single-handedly paved the way for future Asian American actors during a time when it was almost unheard of for non-Caucasian actors to appear on the big screen.

We think Fan Bing Bing, one of the most popular and well-known actresses in China, can definitely fill the shoes of the demanding role. Fan, who recently made appearances in the X-Men and Iron Man franchises, is best known for her breakout role in the hit 1990s series My Fair Princess in China. She has also starred in a variety of films, television shows and has multiple awards under her belt. In the midst of her busy schedule, the actress also found time to co-found the charity project, Heart Ali, that aims at helping Tibetan children who suffer from heart disease.

And of course, we can’t help but also love her for her flamboyant style on the red carpet. Take a look below at some of our favorites.
