Yesterday was the premier of the new TBS reality show, “King of the Nerds.” With the rise of “geek dome”, TBS has decided to put eleven self-proclaimed nerds to the test. Hosted by actors Robert Carradine and Curtis Armstrong, the show has its contestants take part in weekly Nerd War competitions which test their intellect, skill, and knowledge of pop-culture. All of these competitions (such as the giant chess game on last night’s episode) are held in their new home, “Nerdvana.” The prize for all this? $100,000 and nerd bragging rights.
Among the eleven contestants is an Asian-Canadian professional gamer, Celeste Anderson. Said to have a competitive personality and quite the skills with a Rubik’s Cube, Celeste has already set herself up as a contestant to keep an eye on.

Vogue recently did a spread honoring the first respondents of Hurricane Sandy (including the various divisions of the NYPD and NYFD). Of course, in Vogue-like fashion – the shoot was well, quite fashionable. This shoot featured Asian models Liu Wen and Chanel Iman. What did you think of how Vogue chose to honor these heroes?
