Japan’s biggest rock duo B’z (comprised of vocalist Koshi Inaba and guitarist Tak Matsumoto) will return to North America for their fourth U.S. tour. The tour, which kicks off in San Francisco at The Warfield on September 17th, will comprise of seven stops all over North America, the final stop being at the Gibson Amphiteatre in Los Angeles on October 7th.
Formed in 1988, B’z have released 18 albums and 50 singles, with 46 singles consecutively topping Japan’s Oricon Single Chart. B’z have sold over 80 million CDs in Japan alone, making them the best-selling artist in Japanese history.
The duo recently released their first English-language album, which is now available worldwide exclusively through iTunes. The self-titled collection includes the newly released single, “Into Free-Dangan-,” (from the video game Dragon’s Dogma), which has sold over a million units worldwide, as well as the record’s opening track, “Love Bomb” (“Ai no Bakudan”), which was a #1 chart topper in Japan in 2005. The new album will coincide with B’z upcoming North American tour kicking off September 17th.
