Ever wanted to get a facial without breaking the bank? We’ve got just the thing. Today, we’ll show you how to make your own sheet mask that caters to your personal needs.
Sheet masks originated in Korea and are becoming popular all around the globe. Not only is application quick and easy, sheet masks are a great way to soothe and improve your skin. Plus they are very easy to make!
All you need is a facial mask sheet ($2.95) and your liquid of choice:
FOR DRY SKIN:
Mix coconut water with five drops of coconut oil and half a teaspoon of honey. Coconut water and oil are hydrating while honey helps lock in the moisture.
FOR SENSITIVE SKIN:
Mix a tablespoon of aloe vera gel with a couple drops of olive oil and a cool cup of natural green tea. The aloe vera and olive oil will combat dryness, while the green tea will soothe the skin and calm any redness.
FOR ACNE-PRONE SKIN:
Mix ¼ cup of witch hazel, ¾ cups of water, and a teaspoon of aloe vera gel. Witch hazel removes excess oil from the skin and minimizes pores, while the aloe vera will soothe irritation and redness.
Soak your mask in the liquid, and then apply it to your face. Leave the mask on your skin for about 10-20 minutes and once removed massage the excess liquid into your skin. A simple and affordable at home facial, what more could you want?

The collection shows each designer’s unique taste from Public School’s sporty, urban womenswear, to Obando’s flirty, tiered skirt, and Alary’s nature-inspired jewelry.
Daniel Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne are the dynamic duo known as Public School. Chow and Osborne blend references from fashion, music, and art to create fashion that is unique and detailed. Every consideration is made to design and manufacture their full range in their home of New York. Chow and Osborne have received many accolades including the CFDA Swarovski Award for Menswear and, of course, the CFDA Vogue Fashion Fund Award.
So what is the CFDA Vogue Fashion Fund Award? The Council of Fashion Designers of America have partnered with Vogue magazine to create an endowment to support the next generation of American fashion designers. Three emerging designers are selected annually by the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Selection Committee, and are awarded business mentoring from established fashion industry professionals and a prize of up to $300,000 to enable recipients to pursue their independent designs.
Their collection debuts on June 16, but is now available for preorder on jcrew.com.
