Despite this, they could not control the anticipation from their fans for their long-awaited wedding ceremony. EXTRA PETITE: Short Girls Unite With This Must-See Fashion Blog

Television tricked me. When I was a little girl, I would watch all the 6-feet-tall television actors live out their character’s high school days (even though the actors were probably well into their mid-twenties) and I would dream about the day that I would sprout to be that tall.

So when I stopped at 5’2″, I felt cheated. I hated being used as another person’s armrest and I stared daggers at anyone who asked how the weather was “down there.” Most importantly, I hated the feeling that clothes wouldn’t look as good on me because of my small figure.

Luckily, I grew up and learned a few things. Aside from the perks of tip-toe kisses, being called “cute” and getting away with a child’s ticket at the movies, I quickly learned that I could choose clothes that both fit and flatter my “fun-size” frame.

Lucky for all of us, girls like Jean have mastered this art and can help us along the way. Just under 5 feet, Jean is the author of the adorable fashion blog, Extra Petite. The blog describes itself as “a fashion blog that provides styling ideas and shopping information with a focus on professional attire. This blog also aims to share suggestions and solutions for those who may be shorter than the average woman, yet still want to look stylish and feel confident.”

You can’t help but look through the blog and want all of her clothes– especially after knowing that it can actually work with your height.

Check out some of her recent looks below and don’t forget to view her blog here.

Video of The Week: Let It Go/Let Her Go Mash-Up by SAM TSUI

Frozen has captured the hearts of millions. In fact, this beloved Disney animated film is even spreading its popularity worldwide. For instance, over the weekend Frozen has become the highest-grossing animated feature ever in South Korea with over 6 million admissions. The film has grossed $44.17 million in South Korea so far.

Aside from the entertaining storyline and the quirky, lovable characters, Frozen has captured many hearts because of it’s music.

The voice actors of the film (Idina Menzel, Kristen Bell, Jonathan Groff, Josh Gad and Santino Fontana) all lend their singing talents to the catchy music throughout the animated feature.

As expected, YouTube has been swarmed with covers of Frozen songs. People have done everything they can to make their cover stand out. One man proposed to his girlfriend after a cheerful cover of “Love is an Open Door.” Another blew us away with a talented violin version of “Let it Go.”

Twin Sisters Find Each Other Through YouTube, Turn Their Story Into A Film

Our generation is often criticized for the amount of social media we indulge in on a daily basis. We are told that we rely on it far too much. We are poked fun at because people think we are unable to go five minutes without looking at our phone. Even worse, we are told that our friendships and relationships are diluted thanks to social media.

It’s no secret that a handful of people have nothing but negative things to say when it comes to the topic of social media, but this is a story that will prove them otherwise.

Because we focus so much on the negative aspects of social media, we’ve overlooked how it has helped us: we’re able stay in touch with old friends and family members living overseas, long-distance relationships have a chance of surviving despite the difficult circumstances, and most importantly, we are able to meet people that may have never crossed our path.

Through social media we can meet our future best friend or love interest. In fact, we can meet some of the most unexpected people imaginable. For 27-year-old Samantha from Los Angeles, that’s exactly what happened.

In February 2013, Anaïs, a French fashion design student living in London, got her first glimpse of Samantha through a YouTube video featuring the aspiring American actress. Shocked by their similar appearances, Anaïs could not help but looking into Samantha’s background and finally sent her a message.

The twins learned that they were both adoptees, both born in the same country and shared the same birthday.

Convinced that they were related, the two began visiting one another and even spent 10 days in Korea to find out where their separation took place.

The girls decided to document and turn their amazing story into a film. Now, a year later, we finally get our first glimpse of their incredible discovery.

Bruno Mars Had The Most-Watched Super Bowl Halftime Show EVER

Bruno Mars recently won best pop vocal album for “Unorthodox Jukebox” at the 56th annual Grammy Awards. Additionally, Bruno Mars was nominated for three more Grammys including record of the year, song of the year and best pop solo performance.

Mars is clearly off to an amazing start for 2014, but his most recent achievement certainly takes the cake.

His much-anticipated Super Bowl performance alongside Red Hot Chili Peppers became a historic moment. The performance attracted 115.3 million viewers — the largest audience in Super Bowl history.

Prior to Bruno Mars, Madonna’s Super Bowl halftime performance held the record at 114 million. Beyonce’s performance last year had an audience of 110.8 million, but Bruno Mars was even able to beat Queen Bey.

This year’s Super Bowl game had an average viewing audience of 111.5 million viewers. Once again, this is the largest number in Super Bowl history.

“An old-fashioned charmer with old-fashioned talent, Mars is probably the most wholesome star in Top 40 pop right now,” LA Times writes. “Not to mention the one whose skill set most readily overlaps with that of the legends of yesteryear. He’s not afraid to sing about sex, but he’s also deeply unlikely to flash any skin — a reassuring prospect to NFL brass still haunted by a glimpse of Janet Jackson’s nipple 10 years ago.

South Koreans Drink Four Times More Than Americans, Heaviest Drinkers In Asia

When any of my Korean friends say that drinking is something that runs in their blood, and they tell me this quite often, I usually laugh it off as a joke. Whether it’s true or not, most of my friends have shown pride with this ongoing saying about their culture. However, recent studies have proven that this may not be a joke after all.

While it is well known that Koreans tend to consume more alcohol than most, many may be surprised with the startling difference of alcohol consumption in South Korea compared to the rest of the world.

A recent study from Quartz has shown that the average amount of liquor consumed by a person of drinking age is 13.7 shots per week in South Korea. In second place is Russia, but that number drops down drastically to a 6.3.

AAB Banner Square

In fact, in America, the average amount of liquor consumed by a person of drinking age is 3.3 shots per week. That makes American consumption of alcohol more than four times less than South Korea.

Of the liquor consumed in South Korea, 97% of it is Soju. The popular fermented rice spirit is a native to South Korea with alcohol content varying from 16%-45%. As expected, soju sales have consistently topped the charts. Soju ranked #1 in world sale records of the diluted alcohol market in 2002. In 2006, it was estimated that the average adult Korean consumed 90 bottles of soju that year.

Of course, holding the title of being the number 1 drinking nation in Asia has its downsides. The numerous outbreaks of drunken violence has thankfully led to many efforts aimed to restrain South Koreans from heavy drinking.

Get Ready To Cry With This Heartfelt Commercial

Looking for a good cry? We’ve got just the thing to pull at your heartstrings.

Chinese New Year, which is often referred to as “Lunar New Year,” is one of the most important traditional Chinese holidays. The holiday is even celebrated in countries with significant Chinese populations such as Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Thailand, and Indonesia.

A few days ago marked the beginning of the year of the horse. According to tradition, dinner on new year’s eve is the most important dinner of the entire year. Chinese New Year is a time for family to gather together, pass out red envelopes and (of course) eat to their heart’s desires.

Aside from the traditions of fireworks, red packets, decorating and cleaning, it is extremely important that new year’s eve dinner as well as new year’s dinner is spent with family. This is meant to emphasize the importance of family by ending and starting the year together.

In modern times, especially with how busy everyone is, it may be easy for some to forget the importance of family. This commercial is here to remind you. Released in 2012, this “oldie-but-goodie” is sure to help us remember that family will always be there for you.

ADORABLE ASIAN FOOD: Panda-Shaped Everything

To avoid stereotyping, I’m not going to say that all Asians like pandas, but we definitely have a soft spot for these adorable bears. Native to south central China, pandas are known for their distinct black and white color and for (despite their large size) having a diet that consists  almost entirely of bamboo.

Well many people have decided to incorporate pandas into their own diet. No, I’m not talking about eating our beloved bears. A number of people have found creative ways to incorporate the panda’s distinct black and white patches into every day food. The result? Adorable panda-shaped and panda-themed food!

And who wouldn’t want food in the shape of these docile, cuddly creatures? Pandas are now considered an endangered species, but people have definitely made up for it by incorporating pandas into just about anything you can think of.

Now riceballs, cookies, pastries, bread, mochi, ice cream, cookies and even coffee can come in an adorable panda shape.

Video of The Week: The Cutest Reaction To Rain EVER

Admittedly, I am one of those individuals who gets gloomy at the sight of rain. For many people, rain is a time to complain about getting wet, being cold and an unexplained sense of sadness. Well you may start reconsidering that once you see Kayden.

In this video, Kayden appears to be experiencing rain for one of the first times. Trust us when we say this is the cutest reaction to rain EVER.

If you need a reminder to appreciate the little things in life, this would be it. I may not be delighted with rain, but I certainly don’t mind Kayden playing in it.

Want to see more adorable Asian babies? We’ve got just the thing.

An Original Series All About Asian Girls!?

That’s right! Our wishes of seeing more Asian women in the media have been answered. Sure there’s Lucy Liu on Elementary, Brenda Song on Dads and Aubrey Anderson-Emmons on Modern Family, but it’s not very typical to see english-speaking shows focus entirely on Asian women. Mnet has hopes to change that.

Mnet America, the first and leading national television network centered on Asians, is releasing a new original series Alpha Girls. The show, which will debut on February 26 at 8pm ET/PT, follows the lives of successful Asian women and the struggles they have to endure to reach success. And don’t worry, the series also shows all the personal drama we love tuning into.

The premiere season of Alpha Girls follows TOKiMONSTA (DJ/ producer), Mina Kwon (artist, illustrator, graphic designer), Lanie Alabanza-Barcena (founder and lead designer of Hellz Bellz) and Soo Joo Park (fashion model).
