Here at Audrey, we have the privilege to try out new products on our Thursday beauty days. Last week we tried on nail polish from MAC and Estee Lauder. With fall approaching soon, the shades we tried on are perfect for all your fall wardrobe choices.
We were given three MAC nail polishes, Mean & Green, Anti-Fashion and Nightfall. Mean & Green is a purple shade with teal glitter. Anti-Fashion is a dark, dirty purple shade with some sparkle to it. Nightfall is a black/gray shade with a hint of glitter to it. All of these shades are nice colors and looked the same on your nail as they did in the bottle. The polish was fast drying but on the other hand not chip resistant. The polish began to chip off just after one day. For longer wear, I recommend applying a top coat.
One nail trend this fall is shimmer, which is what all three of these shades have. If you want the perfect fall shade with a hint of shimmer, take a look into these shades.
We were also given three Estee Lauder nail polishes as well, Viper, Purple Velvet and Black Iris. Viper is a dark green. Purple Velvet is a deep, rich purple. Black Iris is a black purple shade. These shades unfortunately looked different in the bottle than on your nails. They looked a lot lighter in the bottle than on your nails. This polish formula was a bit thicker than the MAC so it didn’t dry as quickly. On the brighter side though this polish last longer than most with little to no chipping.
These deep, rich shades are all perfect examples of what this fall’s nail trends are all about. With longer wear, these Estee Lauder shades are great to last the whole season.
MAC and Estee Lauder have perfect shades for this fall. When you are out buying nail polish this season, look for deep, rich shades and shimmers.
