What’s summer without summer love, harmless flirting, and a night of dancing with your girls? Whether you’re out on the town with a potential lover for a passionate and romantic date night or an easy, careless fun night out with your girls, an Audrey girl must always be wearing the appropriate attire. This is why we selected a few styles/trends that we think is fitting for these two different summer nights.

 

DATE NIGHT

For summer dates, you want to feel comfortable, yet look flirty, fun, fresh, and most importantly, effortless. Full, one pieces such as dresses with easy prints and weightless materials, like the Rachel Gilbert strap dress, are go-to styles for a romantic and flirty night out with a fling or your boyfriend. Simple and easy-going prints speak volumes of nonchalance but still preserve the romantic and intimate atmosphere. Of course the saying, “Fashion over function,” usually trumps our decision to wear plain comfy clothing, but comfort is key to having fun and being you. Therefore, going for clothes that are light such as silk or satin would be ideal for a successful date.

 

Shoes also raise the saying, “fashion over function,” but with shoes, especially on date night, comfort is not an option. It’s sky-high heels with a girl’s next-door feel all the way for these summer nights. Down to earth heels such as D’s printed strappy heels are perfect to go with a flirty dress like Rachel Gilbert’s.

No outfit is completed without a few jewelry here and there, which is why dangly earrings with gemstones in romantic colors, such as a purple blue, are perfect to your outfit. Any earrings that are long and moving should stir up warmth and emotions in your heart and his.

 

 

Just like your outfit and the mood you want to keep during your date, you want to keep your nails polished with colors that subtly whisper voices of intimacy and romanticism. Shades such as reds, purples, and pinks are suited for your nails for occasions like this. For a classic red color, try Dazzle Dry in “Fast Track Cherry.” If you like a lighter shade of red, such as a pink, try Saint Germain’s interpretation of pink in “Pink Lotus” or MAC’s “Pinkly Fresh.”  Should you choose a shade of purple, China Glaze in “Sweet Hook” is ideal.

 

CLUB NIGHT

Sometimes a girl needs to have a fun night out with her girls where your responsibilities and errands doesn’t matter for one night, and what better way to do that than dancing? To get into and/or be a part of the stimulating and amped atmosphere of the night, visions of neon and skin-tight clothing to accentuate and embrace your figure are necessary. Bright colors are no brainers for summer but to bring that up to another level for an electrifying and exciting night, neon colors are the next best thing. For shoes too, opt for neon, bright, screaming colors as your dress. Don’t worry too much about matching your entire with safe and obvious colors; try color blocking instead to make things a little bit more exciting. Along with leaving a lasting impression with your outfit, you want to leave a sultry and romantic smell everywhere you go for a night out with your lover or with whoever you end up shaking things up at the club.
