18th Amendment, with its hilarious ironic name, offers awesome happy hour selections 4-7pm Monday through Friday. They are famous for their delicious wings and chicken tenders and affordable beer. This bar is also boyfriend approved as it has tons of televisions screening the games, making it a hotspot for sports fans. There’s something new each day of the week: open mic on Monday, trivia on Tuesday (it’s also Happy Hour all night!), and karaoke on Thursday! Did we mention they have a jukebox?

Blue Duck Tavern

If you can afford to have ONE fancy dinner at DC, the Blue Duck Tavern is the place to do it. It is famous because the Obamas had their wedding anniversary dinner here, but the delicious food and classic ambience makes this place one of the best restaurants at DC. The food is traditional American with an upscale twist, incorporating dishes from all over the US. Their popular dishes are bone marrow, Braised Beef with Homemade Steak Sauce and of course, deep dish apple pie with homemade ice cream for dessert.
