The designer is a go-getter, a hard worker, and a passionate person for nature. After finishing her degree in Psychology at USC, she decided to move to the East Coast to pursue her passion: fashion. While living in Brooklyn, she somehow stumbled upon an invite to a private engagement at Columbia University. Little did she know that this moment, this event would be the start of her career in fashion. The guest of honor was the Dalai Lama who spoke mostly about the corporate capitalism of Enron. Another speaker, environmentalist Paul Hawken, captured the heart of Bell through his words. “I was in awe with Mr. Hawken. I was just blown away by his presentation,” she says. Through this experience, she was able to pursue the career in which both her passion for fashion and nature would work together.
Ailin was born.
Built on functionality and sustainability in each piece, Ailin will definitely stay in your closet for a long time. With classic styles and pieces that won’t ever fade or wear out, Bell designs high quality products at great prices. Ailin uses recycled Velcro, but what makes Ailin an Eco-Fashion label is its multi-functional designs.
“Ailin is an Eco-label because I design pieces that are multi-functional. While it lasts forever, you minimize the intake and waste of fabric by keeping Ailin’s classic pieces forever,” says Bell.
Bell continues to work hard through the challenges and makes sure that Ailin is always about her passion within nature and fashion. She left me with a very inspiring quote: “No matter where you are in your point in life, take now as it is, and know that you are amazing in all that you do!”
